Devils peak from the devils canyon. This is one of the toughest hikes in the Sierras. It is said that on a clear day you can see both the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean from the summit. To attempt this hike you will need to be in great shape and have advanced off trail navigational skills. Failed attempts are common, many of which result in rescues. You are at high elevations and may experience altitude sickness. If you do, head to a lower elevation quickly as this can be dangerous or even fatal. Proceed with caution and lots of information!
