Bukit Batu Putih trail is located at Tanjung Tuan Forest Reserve, which is classified as an Important Bird and Biodiversity Area (IBA). It is also where Port Dickson's famous Cape Rachado lighthouse is located. The trail walks hikers through dense rain forest, mangrove swamps and secluded beaches. With an easy climb up some boulders perched on the most western point of the promontory, the summit of Bukit Batu Putih rewards hikers with a commanding view of the Straits of Malacca.

Easy trails..

I found this hike to be straightforward and easy. My friend and I ordered a grab to the start of the trail/road. When we entered, we had to pay RM$1 and sign into a log book (this was at 12:30. A different hiker came in at 14:00 and no one was there to charge him). From there, you just follow the road up and right before the lighthouse, there is a trail to the right (the hiking trail!). The hiking path is very clear. You keep following it until you see a cluster of rocks. After the quick scramble up, you’re at the incredible view. It only took us 20 minutes. We left the same way we came and never did the full loop.

Easy hike except for the rock climbing which abt 150m up from the beach. Excellent view from top. There are few beaches and accessible while hiking. Beach at Pulau intan is very nice & we had a picnic there !!! Very few people at the beach since hiking requires to access the beach. Met a guy who is building a makam there !! So please be respectful during this hike. Please bring garbage bags & help to collect all the plastics bottle. Good place for a family hike & beach activity. Will go again soon.

For groups with kids or uninitiated hikers, both Bukit Batu Putih summit and the Cape Rachado lighthouse are easily accessible via tarmac road (gradient about 15%-20%). Otherwise trail junkies are in for a treat. The secluded beaches, great views of the sea and the perpetual ocean breeze are refreshing for a change, if you're used to trails around KL.
