Viesata River Circles is a 5.1 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Irlava, Courland, Latvia that offers scenic views and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options.

May 2, 2020The trail has a nice verticality. It goes along a small river with mix of walking along the riverside and climbing steeper parts of the bank. There are multiple stops with tables but some of the stairs made out of wood are in bad condition. Trails are colour coded and comes together in multiple occasions. Will visit it again.
May 1, 2020Great hike! Close to Riga so you can drive and do the hike in a day. We made the route a bit longer and did 10km but following the red markers and then the green. Great hike with cool break spots. Even had fire stations with wood if you wanted a fire. Very beautiful.

First to ReviewA beautiful river-side trail. There's a big pile of stones the kids loved climbing at the beginning of the trail and a giant stone called Spuņņakmens at the end of the trail. Lots of benches along the trail to sit, have a picnic, and ponder the beauty of this place. Definitely a family favorite.
