A short trail down to a gorgeous waterfall and swimming hole. You can either take the trail or walk along the rocky river bed.

HikingGreat!

A bit hard to find but great trail and beautiful waterfall! We hiked with two babies in carriers and one toddler. A good amount of shade along the way. Heads up that you cross a short bit with running water so recommend bringing extra socks or water shoes. Or just go barefoot and have wet feet. Halfway up there’s a shaded picnic table area.

This FUKUGAWA trail is not a trail through rocks and does not require rope repelling. I think some reviews are confusing fukugawa hike with Tataki falls which requires you walk through a river bed full of rocks. The waterfalls look very similar. FUKUGAWA is a nice shaded scenic trail and had a wonderful waterfall at the end. You can swim in the waterfall pond. It is amazing. We took a troop of cub scouts and families (50 people) with all ages of kids to this waterfall and everyone enjoyed it.

After reading all the reviews, I decided to try this hike with my 2 kids 7 & 1 and my 8 week pregnant wife. I don’t know what trail everyone else found or went on. It took forever to find an entrance, we got lucky and found other people going and followed. We didn’t find a nice shaded trail with picnic tables. But we did find a trail that was mostly through the water and lots of trails that required climbing or repelling with ropes. Nonetheless the hike was very fun and the waterfall at the end was very worth it!!! There’s also a rope swing.

Great short family trail with just the right amount of safety and adventure. Did it with a 2 year old who walked a good bit of it and enjoyed the waterfall at the end.

Nice little trek. We walked through the water/rocks the whole way to the waterfall- made it a little more fun! Water feels amazing in Okinawa heat.

HikingMuddy

I think easy is an understatement for this hike..it took my kids and I maybe 15 minutes to get to the falls! My boys did it in slippers! The trail itself was a little muddy and you need to cross a stream but shoes, slippers, even bare feet would do!

First to Review

Went with wife and four kids, 2 yr old walked most the way. Easy hike for the family. Most of the trail is shaded and half way there is a picnic table and Ramada. maybe bring extra socks there is a spot were you cross the creek. Lots of fun!
