A nice hike along the ridge above Kamakura with occasional views south overlooking Kamakura to the Sagami Bay and glimpses north to Yokohama and lovely breezes on top of the ridge. A few short sections (50 m or less) that were a bit muddy. The trail is fairly well marked with sign posts in English and Japanese. The trail terminus at Zuisen-Ji temple (the East end) is outside the temple gates, but for 200Y you can enter the temple and sightsee. The trail terminus on the Kencho-Ji temple (the west end) is through the temple grounds, and the 500Y admission is mandatory regardless of which direction you are going, but worth it to get to explore the temple grounds.

Nice easy trail that can be a hike or a run. It is mostly covered with a dense forest along a ridge. Nice way to enjoy Japan and still be able to shop and have lunch in Kamakura at the end of your hike.
