The view from the trail was amazing. The colourful trees in mid of October took my breath away. The trail is not just “walking under trees”. If you are the person who prefers various types of terrain, then this trail is for you. It won’t betray your expectations.
This hike was beautiful! Fall is definitely the time to do it. The last half mile to the top is fairly straight up.
This trail is tough. We hiked in early November while it was cold, muddy, rocky, and cloudy. Truly a majestic hike however. About 3km in we were above the clouds and stayed in them even upon reaching the summit. Boots and cold weather gear are a must as the temperature can drop 20-30° F during the ascent.
I have completed this hike 4 or 5 times. It is an amazing hike. Remember it is a mountain hike and you must be prepared for a hike and not a light stroll. You will likely encounter some muddy spots, loose rocks, thick clouds and high winds however it is an amazing hike that you not regret. Dress appropriately, wear hiking boots and enjoy. Beautiful views and since it is a loop, you will never see the same sights twice.
