The route starts on the right, immediately after the Pian della Fioba tunnel (mt.900). Initially, in the chestnut forest, the path nr.188 proceeds in common with the nr. 41, then, at the bifurcation, take the branch on the right going, through rocks, meadows and sparse vegetation, towards Passo della Greppia (mt.1209), near which there is a picnic table, and which is reached in about 1 hour of walking. Path 188 ends here, at its confluence with nr. 33 which, coming from the Pasquilio, must be turned to the left. This part of the path, which also traces a small part of the historic Gothic Line, will lead in about 30 minutes to the Passo degli Uncini (mt.1366), so called because of the rocky pinnacles that draw the jagged ridge. Reached the Passo degli Uncini, leave the path 33 to take the ridge path on the right, which with some air passage and passing some rocks (pay attention!) Leads in about 1 hour, to the summit of Monte Altissimo (mt.189) ).
