Definitely a challenging trail for a beginner or who has lost grip on their hiking skills. There are few alternative trail paths which could be explored by hikers who are sufficiently experienced in the field.

I confirm what has been said before about this route: it's not a long one but it's steep. It begins and goes on like this, whit just a few section to take a breathe. Reaching the chapel with a panoramic view it's suitable for almost everyone though, while adding the last climb to the Crocione summit is definetly difficult for an entry level hiker and the not-so-young ones. The view from the mountain top is rewarding and the way back to the chapel can be cut off with a detour half way from the Rifugio Piazza.

Some sections are very steep on the trail we took. However, their are other routes to take which may be easier. This may not be a high mountain but on the trail we took in hot weather it can be challenging to the amateur/beginner hiker.
