Note: This trail is currently closed due to construction. The trail is planned to reopen in Spring 2021. Sentiero Azzurro, or The Blue Trail, is appropriately named after the blue colors of the ocean in panoramic view for a majority of the trail. This trail connects each of the five main villages of the Cinque Terre region: Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, and Monterosso al Mare. Along the trail, you may find homegrown vineyards, meet locals, see house pets sunbathing, and always find a sweeping view. The path is made up of groomed, shaded trail mixed with steps and some open-air paths along the mountainside. Always check the status of each section of the trail, as they often close after heavy rains.
