The small village of Arquà Petrarca, together with the more substantial center of Este, represents the cultural and paleo-historical centrality of the Euganean Hills. Arquà Petrarca was the mansion of the last 5 years of the life of the divine Francesco Petrarca (1370-1374) who, overwhelming judgment, was the greatest poet of the Italian language after Dante. The current Borgo is very well presented (one of the "most beautiful Borgo d'Italia) and maintains the perfect characteristic of 700 years ago. From here there are many paths that cross the hills with different difficulties, panoramic views, agricultural crops including the famous "giuggiole" (Ziziphus jujuba Mill.) From which some well-known Italian proverbs ("go in "brodo di giuggiole""). The beauty of the village and its food and wine offer are combined with the possibility of simple walking, hiking or rock climbing. We preferred to make an excursion in the surroundings with moderate or slightly less than moderate difficulties, with the possibility of wide panoramas.
