Long loop from Adorgnano to Villafredda and back. Rural area interspersed with woods and always between the morphology typical of the Moraines of the Tilaventinum Glacier (Last Glacial Maximum or LGM) which occurred between 27 thousand and 22 thousand years ago, when the huge tongue of the glacier came out of the valleys of the Fella and the Tagliamento and spread out in the upper Friuli plain, dragging a significant load. The sediments, of various sizes and above all of origins (including Devonian rocks therefore from the Coglians Group), released on three fronts of this enormous slow flow from what are today the morainic hills of Middle Friuli hilld. To be precise, the loop develops between the last (the most recent) and the medium front, which respectively stand between 25 thousand and 22 thousand years ago. The skeleton of the fields is interesting: it is made up of "puddinghe" or round stones, witnesses of glacial abrasion: They are found on the fences and perimeter walls of the houses built before 80-100 years ago. This is how you read vertically the original composition and the origin of the boulders received with the glacier. The whole long tour constitutes an open muzzle of what was one of the most intense climatic changes in the history of Gaia in the last 30 thousand years. In other words, you walk through the clues and the evidence of the formation of the hills of the upper Friuli plain. In these areas, apart from the brief climatic outbreaks with an interleaving period of 200 or 500 years (the last between 12,500 and 11,800), it can be safely assumed that the human settlement of the Cromagnons evolved and became definitively dedicated to agriculture and exchange among the morainic hills. After 8,000 years ago at the same time as a marked improvement in the climate and perhaps better than the current one, as the tree vegetation reached an area of 2-300 meters higher than the current one. Among these ups and downs, always moderate and sweet, the current settlements have beautiful traces of the human context of a few centuries ago with stately villas, churches, castles and defensive walls to defend the "brogilus" with the classic "merlons". On the walls, in fact, it is extraordinary to see the composition of the pebbles whose chromatic reading allows to understand the alpine origin.
