Take this trail for what it is - a lovely escape from the tourists down below in Sorrento. While there is a stretch of about 100 yards along a shoulder-less road, the rest of the trail (actually a paved walk) wanders through beautiful olive and lemon groves, ending at Roman ruins and a seaside restaurant. There are great views of Sorrento and the Bay of Naples along the way. So if you only have a few hours and don’t feel like shopping for more lemon-flavored trinkets, this is a very nice, easy escape.

I jogged a good portion of this trail dodging cars and people. Sometimes you just need a good run. Sorrento is not the best place for it: it’s more a launching pad to other less crowded more interesting Italian cities. But, to be fair, hum. Trying to be fair. Can’t seem to come up with words.

Most of the trail is along a road where cars travel at 80km+. There are some nice views, but it feels more like walking on the sidewalk to the middle of nowhere than walking on a actual trail. Overall it’s alright, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
