First to ReviewWould recommend to go when it’s a little warmer as the snow can make the trail difficult to follow, the hike far more arduous, and spoils the environment around the lake a bit. The hike is very pleasant with some relatively steep bits here and there, and I imagine that seeing the reflection of Mattherhorn in the lake would be amazing (there was too much cloud coverage for us to see this). Great for a day hike!
