Single Halukim is one of the first bicycle treks in the Negev. It has been built over ancient camel roads that have been adjusted and designed especially for mountain bikes. It comprises of stunning desert scenery all while staying close enough to the road. This fact is what gives it its character – its a deep-desert ride that allows a quick return from almost every point. Throughout the trek you get to visit archaeological sites, viewpoints and modern desert agriculture, and if you make it all the way to the end you will be rewarded with the unequal landscape of the Zin valley. The trek is best for cyclers of a medium fitness level who already have experience in riding off-road. It is enjoyable and safe in any season but summer, when except for early morning, any hour is too hot to ride. Don´t forget your helmet and plenty of water, and of course, a bicycle in good condition.
