Trail was pretty muddy when I went. This trail would normally be fine for standard walking shoes but because of all the rain you need nonslip hiking boots. Other than that. It’s a very moderate tail. A few stairs here and there and then the last stretch has about two or three flights of steep stairs. I wouldn’t recommended a dog on this trail, some parts get pretty close to the edge of the cliff unless on a short leash. Beautiful views, lots of green right now from the rain and stops along the way to look at history. Also, keep in mind this hike is not a loop, you will need to hike back the way you started to get back to your vehicle unless you have another form of transportation picking you up at the end of the trail. If bringing kids, there’s a couple different areas on the trail that would be a nice spot for a picnic.

Pretty good trail (Blue) to hike. Would not recommend to do it at the summer time, since the air temperatures will be pretty high. We did walk back and forth in October with 12 old and she was just fine walking it. The biggest thing to know that the Blue trail is NOT a loop! You will hike from one parking lot to another, and if no transportation is available at the end of the travel, you will have to walk it all back again. Be ready!!
