done this today. parked at kings yard headed up the stoney path to the foot of first hill. from there, white stones mark the direction to the top. when at the top, you can see galtymore straight ahead. we went up the left hand side to the summit. very rewarding views

Great Hike from Kings yard. Parking €3. The white markers on the stones going up initially are very helpful.

Not suitable for those afraid of heights. Steep drops to the right of the ridge on the way to the summit. Very wet and boggy under foot

Fantastic hike, that is challenging, but ultimately very rewarding. Parts of the trail can be very soggy and boggy, so bare that in mind and make sure to have good footwear.

HikingGreat!

Really enjoyable hike. Rocky path all the way up and then a grass climb to the very top. The grass was very wet so your shoes tend to sink in parts. A real adventure from start to finish.

HikingGreat!

Good route to top of Galtymore. High quality path most of the way although we went on a day after rain and it was hard to find ground that wasn't bog in parts.

Great hike up Galtee Mor. Took us 2.5 hours to reach the top. Pathway quite rocky and not well marked in spots. Was some parts that were quite boggy so need a good hiking boot. The weather was warm on August 3rd when we went but still cold enough for a hat, coat and extra layers on the top. The descent took us just under 2 hours. Lots of people had walking poles with them which would be an advantage. Great views from the top and along the way

Incredible views from the top. Well worth a hike. Some of the trail is not well marked but basically go up towards summit. Gealty Beag is on the way also so bonus. Recommend a good hiking boot, waterproof and ankle support. Car park at end of road across M18 is limited so arrive early.
