We went up and back to the lake with 4 & 7 yr old daughters. The very start and end is steep and boggy - a bit tricky for the kids. Tough to find the trail up, but once you do it’s a lovely hike and well worth the views once you get to the lake. once you cross the river and get back the steep bog, keep right to find the trail. We stopped at the lake but hope to get to summit next time!

I did this trail with a few other guys, and it was great. The views were phenomenal!

This is a jewel! It’s a little hard to get to the lake but not too difficult. I went with 2 teenage sons. Our only regret was that we started out too late in the day and stopped at the lake. We will definitely return to do the summit. Absolutely beautiful scenery. Hard to leave it.
