This beautiful trail has great views of the Wicklow Mountain Range. Sections of this route are not marked, so be sure to record your route to avoid getting lost. You may also want to bring waterproof shoes since you will find yourself in wet areas and a river crossing.

It was a beautiful hike only there were too many areas where the trail just did not exist. It made the hike more adventurous and it was fun but at times walking in heather for too long got exhausting.

Super trail and super views everywhere. Track is virtually nonexistent in the middle section so it’s one man and his map! 6 hours with a lunch stop at Lough Dan.

Really enjoyed this. Please note - this is NOT an 'Easy' hike in the slightest and has been miscategorised above - it is at a minimum Moderate, or Moderate to Hard. Trails are not marked at all in many places so you need to know where you're going, involves a lot of wading through gorse, holes etc - but well worth it! You'll also need to get your shoes off to wade through the shallow river near the end. Took 5 - 6 hours with a stop for lunch. Highly recommended!
