Started off this trail by parking in the Glencree centre. Made our way across to the cemetery by road. Trail starts at on the right as you enter the cemetery. But we got about 1km in and was impassible. Turned back and reassessed in the coffee shop. Drove around the where the start joins the main loop and was much better. However there’s lots of nettles etc quite overgrown for the 3-4km so not very enjoyable. But once clear of that was quite enjoyable with good sights at the top. I wouldn’t recommend bringing dogs on this trail due to the nettles. I had to carry my dog for a lot of it

First to Review

Walk to the right at the German cemetery and then walk up the river and into the forest, in total about an hour round trip the rest of the loop walk is on open wind swept track and fairly boring ;(
