HikingGreat!

Done the trail clockwise. It was tough towards the top, lots of climbing rock. Not for the faint hearted. Beautiful views. Fabulous weather helped. Get there early as parking is limited. Took overall 3.5 hrs, with a few stops along the way

Went counterclockwise as suggested by one of the reviews and it was a very steep and tough ascent. There is a more established trail that loops wide which looked more moderate but it’s hard to say how much distance that would have added to the journey. That being said after 45 minutes or so you plateau and it’s flat-ish and downhill from then on. Whole loop took about 3.5 hours and had amazing views (despite the heavy fog and very strong winds). Highly recommend this hike but be ready for mud and wind. Just to note going clockwise would be a much more gradual ascent with one short bit of scrambling upwards but I would say about 3/4 of the hike would be uphill. All in all, if you’re able for it or if you’re willing to tack on a few extra kms going counterclockwise was well worth it.

june 2020. the ground over the ridge was a bit soggy but otherwise perfect conditions dry sunny day. beautiful views in all directions make it worth the effort. took about 4.5hr with a stop at the lake and a few rests on the way up. we did it clockwise wich its not recommended, it is fairly steep with a bit of scrambling over rocks to get to altitude on both sides, the descent was hard on the knees, the other direction may have been more pleasant. bring water and wear good shoes! stunning

Took 4 hours with lots of breaks. we did anti clockwise which I think is easier particularly if not comfortable climbing . amazing hike with beautiful views all along the way!

Great trail, quite intimidating to climb the rocks on the top. Definitely not for beginners. Can be dangerous in wet and windy conditions. Amazing views and about 3-4 hour to do the whole loop with plenty of breaks.

This was a fantastic hike. Not for beginners especially if it’s windy and it can be a little wet but one of the best I’ve done for a while.

Great trail but not well signposted. Despite this it's easy to follow. Just when you come out of the forest follow the path straight ahead rather than left as that takes you up all the sheep paths rather than the actual one. Also, I highly recommend a swim in the lake. Obviously not the warmest but amazing!

Really enjoyed this hike. Not as busy as I thought it would be but a lot of people just walk to the lake and don't do the loop. The full loop is pretty difficult with some climbing to do and plenty of people losing their footing. The challenge made the hike great but I wouldn't say it was 'easy' as it does in the description.
