Starting off, ascend the western flank of the coum around Mahon Falls, gaining height fast. From near the top of the falls, veer northwest towards Coumfea taking in the high points of Coumfea and Coumfea Northtop. After some lunch here, travers the boggy and heather filled Comeragh Plateau on a general easternly heading towards Coumshingaun, where you descended via the southern arete of the coum back towards Kilclooney Woods car park.

Very good trek but hard to find the trail at times. Don't let this put you off if the weather is fine. Not an unusual complaint for the Comeraghs.
