This walk is a 2-car walk, with one car parked at your starting point at Mahon Falls car park, and the other car waiting for you at the car park in Kilclooney Woods. Starting off, ascend the western flank of the coum around Mahon Falls, gaining height fast. From near the top of the falls, veer northwest towards Coumfea taking in the high points of Coumfea and Coumfea Northtop. After some lunch here, travers the boggy and heather filled Comeragh Plateau on a general easternly heading towards Coumshingaun, where you descended via the southern arete of the coum back towards Kilclooney Woods car park.
