Nice out and back. Very steep up & down. Nice views from the top. Fine for dogs as well just watch out in case yours chases the sheep like ours!
Nice hike. Steep in some spots but fairly flat for in others. Mostly easy terrain. A bit rocky at the start/finish but mostly grass. Took me 2:30 including tea break. Very enjoyable.
Slievenamon is undoubtedly one of the best hikes on offer in South Tipperary. It's very straightforward from start to finish. The track is clear and easy to follow throughout. The views on offer from the summit are some of the best and around. The only thing to note is its steepness, which may prove challenging for complete novices and which also means it may take quite some time to reach the summit. Challenging though, it may be, it's still easily climbed.
nice views. Easy to navigate. open to the elements, bring layers.
