For me the stone path ruined the walk... turns from something enjoyable into a slog. Steepness would not be an issue if you weren't sliding around on loose stones. Much better walks to do.

very tough going was windy and wet. cleared up on route down. The steep climb near the top make sure to find stones stuck in the ground and not the loose ones. if you enjoy a challenge its a Good climb. I loved it.

Did last Sunday - wet and windy when going up - last section steep and because of conditions, tough. When I got to the top , couldn’t see much but the chat between everyone was great. People looked out for each other coming down - it was v slippy , visibility poor and then of course the sun came out as I got halfway down and the views over Clew Bay were breathtaking Would do again when in county recommend but , if you haven’t done it, don’t assume it will be a walk in the park

Should be 5* difficulty. Can't imagine there's tougher climbs in the country. Open to suggestions! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Bartraw Beach the next day to walk out the legs!

I did this in 2014. It’s beautiful, but the second half is hard — lots of shifting rocks.

Tougher than I imagined, which made me nervous coming down with kids. Glad we did it.

Tougher than I expected, a steep steady climb, mostly over loose stones and rock. Bring a stick for the descent. I’m an atheist but Ive never been so happy to see a church in my life ! (church on top) This is definitely a bucket list climb.

Pull up, then levels off, then steep climb, took us 1 hr 40 mins to go up today, it was very warm and huge crowds but was such clear day on top, 5/6th time to do it and only time to get clear at top. Fab views. Visitors Centre and coffee shops closed due to Covid. 9/8/20
