Lovely walk. Quite muddy near the top today but the weather has been bad. Got lovely weather today and the views were fantastic ! Lots of people there with dogs so a super friendly walk for all. Did take about an hour to get to the top and back down to the car altogether.

It’s a nice easy walk with good views. I’d just follow the service route up the hill and then continue to the cross. If you ignore the signs it more like an out and back 6.25km walk. If you follow the signs the return will be shorter but a bit steeper. Much of the wood has been cut down. Blackberries are great though!

I would highly recommend this trail.. great views easy goin ground. completed it with my 3 and 7 year olds. child friendly and dog friendly. pretty much a novice at this an found it quite easy going and very rewarding views from the cross at the top. weather was poor strong winds and heavy rain but we were well wrapped up and all enjoyed it.

A nice walk up to the Marian cross - not too difficult. A lot of the forest has been cleared.
