HikingGreat!

Probably my favorite day in Ireland! We started by taking a boat from Ross Castle to Lord Brandon’s Cottage. We then hiked all the way to Kate Kearny’s. It was an absolutely amazing day, the views and sounds of nature were wonderful. Traveled Sept 2019.

Gorgeous scenery!!! Fully paved so trainers more appropriate than hiking boots.

Road bikingGreat!

This is a great experience! We cycled from the hotel to Ross Castle, we took the boat (with the bikes) at 10:30, you can get the tickets online or in place, we pay €20. The trip is around 90 minutes. The boat left us in Lord Brandon's Cottage from where you can go back by to Killarney by cycling or walking. The view is beautiful, be ready to climb a very tough hill but after that it's easy and enjoyable.

This has to be one of the most beautiful walks in the world! So fortunate to have had the chance to do this. A must do if you are around The Ring of Kerry area.

You walk on a wide paved road all the time. Beautiful scenery but not my kind of hiking. I recommend you drive this one and hike some other trail. of which the Ring of Kerry has no shortage.

it is very nice and scenic and it's all paved. We hiked in a very rainy and windy day in last day of September, so pretty much it was only us for most of the time and only few horse carriage in the morning. ocasional cars were passing by. I can see it can get very busy in nice weather days.

Wonderful hike. It is on the road so be mindful of carriages and cars driving around. Lots of sheep roaming the streets too. Its one of my favorite hikes in Ireland so beautiful!

Amazing views!! Very windy but we were lucky the clouds lifted and the rain stopped as we started hiking from Lord Brandon’s. Steep uphill at first but a nice descent into the valley when you reach the highest point. Lots of horses, carriages, and sheep on the road! :)

One of the nicest walking surfaces have used. Road is wide enough to be out of way of cars and horses. Stunning scenery

really enjoyed our hike, make sure to wear comfy footwear, and bring extra layer of clothing as it can get cooler as you hike into the mountain esp between months of (aug-apr). it is 11km to lord Brandon cottage, you can get a boat across the lake to Ross castle, however the last boat leaves at 2pm.

This trail is mind blowing. Everything is gorgeous. You feel so small in the middle of the gap. I advise to start early in the morning as you will stop for photo, sheep, car, horse even a swim (if you feel like it) as You are passing 3 lakes. All pictures can be a postal card from Ireland. One thing the start point in the app is not the car park. You will have to park 500m down so it makes the trail a bit longer.

This is simply a MUST DO for anybody in Kerry that’s looking for a beautiful walk in the most amazing scenery. The horses, walkers, runners & busy route just make this hike/walk better. It’s an all tarmac walk so good runners & water is all one needs. Enjoy
