This route is for experienced mountaineers / hikers. One should have a good knowledge of navigation as the weather in this area is very changeable and high winds heavy rain and low cloud cover are common. One would need to be sure footed and have a good head for heights. This route should take around 5 hours. At start of walk 2 rivers have to be forded. Shortly after a steep but quite safe assent followed by an impressive ridge walk (An Géarán). From here one ascends Brandon peak, then one follows ridge line to Brandon Mountain the highest point on route. Then one takes the pilgrims route for a while until deviating back to the start finish point. Sorry have no photos as as cloud cover too low. But this a very spectacular area well worth a visit.
