Part of the Dublin Mountains Way. This trail offers magnificent views and opportunities to see wildlife. Park hours vary by season, so check the Coillte website (link below). Most of the track is on closed forest roads but crosses the road to a gravel path that starts behind Zipit Forest Adventures. This is a loop on the Dublin Mountains Way combined with an out and back trail to the chambered cairn at the peak of Tibradden mountain. If you are interested in Irish history and are willing to brave walking along the R116 you could extend this to a loop by continuing until you meet the Wicklow Way and returning along Pine Forest Rd (R116). Then visit the site of one of Daniel O'Connell's 'monster meetings' in his campaign to repeal the 1801 Act of Union. https://www.coillte.ie/site/cruagh-wood/ https://www.coillte.ie/site/tibradden-wood-pine-forest/ https://www.dublinmountains.ie/dublin_mountains_way/ http://www.wicklowway.com http://www.irishtrails.ie

HikingGreat!

Easy enough terrain, well marked out with lovely views and lots of additional trails through the forrest. Beautiful purple heather in flower in August.

handy enough walk. Nice views over Dublin. Good for night hikes but have a decent head torch and spare batteries.

It is ideal for children that love observing bugs and plants. You may take longer time to walk but is worthy.

Went for my first hike in Tibradden and I was not disappointed..although it does help when the weather is just about perfect..I walked up to the cairn and continued until I came to the view towards Bray/Sugarloaf..WOW! Stunning view..I will most definitely returning for a sunrise photo shoot and possibly on to Glendalough

Please edit title: it is Cruagh not Cruagh! Beautiful trail I regularly walk all times of year as track/stone path always accessible I’ve seen plenty of wildlife in this area, notably pine marten and woodpecker

This trail is considered as moderate but if you come through Tribbedan is not that difficult to complete it. Be careful with the wood pathway because it can be slippery! The view is breathtaking.
