Church Short Loop is a 4.8 mile loop trail located near Rathcormac, Cork, Ireland. The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for hiking, walking, and trail running.
To reach your starting point, approach Ballyvolane from the Bridesbridge direction. Cross Ballyvolane Bridge and continue for a further half-mile up the gently rising hill until you come to a T junction. Turn right, following the sign directing you to Britway (half a mile). At Britway school, take the left fork and continue for a tenth of a mile. You will come to St Bridget's Holy Well on the right. Park your car at St Bridget's Holy Well, Britway, and walk up the road to Britway graveyard. At the graveyard junction, keep right and continue straight in a southerly direction on to the Dungourney road. At the next junction, turn left. The road rises up for approximately 1.2 miles. At the yield right of way sign, pause and take in the view. In the west, you will see the Ballyhoura mountains, and Corrin outlined above Fermoy. Bear left at the 'yield right of way' sign. Continue for a tenth of a mile and take the first turn left. Take due care on this short (but busy) section of road. Proceed along this road for 1.2 miles and take the first turn left, which is directly across from an entrance to the woods. Follow this road for a further 1.2 miles, then turn left downhill walking along a very narrow road. At the next crossroads, continue straight through. Taking the next turn left, continue until you arrive back at Britway graveyard and your starting point.
