Main event lasts maybe 5 seconds and then you wait 7 minutes to see again. Just a walk around the area. Honestly, could've passed up this one. Loads and loads of people IG'ing and not truly paying attention to nature.

i did this two years ago, and I'm not sure I followed this exact path, but there's a few different clear paths up the side of the hill so you can look over the edge down to the river and down the way you came over the geysir. It was fun, not hard, not too steep either. if you've got a bit of time at the geysir, it's worth it to get away from the main touristy stuff.

Fun stop to check out the Geysir! Doesn’t take long and good photo opportunity.

Very easy hill trail with great views. Largest geyser on site erupts every 3-7 minutes or so. Beautiful flora and other wildlife, with views of glaciers in the distance.

A simple walk around the geysers. Enjoyable but crowded - you'll struggle to get a photo without either dozens of people or tour buses in.

Although not as beautiful as Yellowstone, they are very pretty. There are geysers & hot springs. This is more of a gentle walk but there are a lot of tourists (as expected).

Super quick to walk to. It erupts every 5-10 min and some blasts are better than others. So it’s worth sticking around for a couple eruptions to see it. Also, watch where the wind is blowing. A huge shot of water came up and blew lukewarm water right at us.

Not really a trail as much as it is a tourist stop. Several geysers worth viewing, if you don’t mind crowds and cameras everywhere.

First to Review

Very easy, no stairs or rocks to climb and a very quick stop on the way to Gullfoss. Pretty heavily trafficked, but still easy to get a good front row view even during peak times.
