Awesome basalt columns and the “trolls” in the water are phenomenal. Really beautiful beach walk with lots of funky things to make any goth heart go pitter patter.

The beach is nice, but a beautiful green landscape around the area was even more enjoyable.

filled with people so to try and get a perfect picture without someone in it, is a job in itself. black sand is so interesting to see in person and the sea sculptures are beautiful

Super busy with other tourists when I went, but it was amazing to see. Watched some puffins flying off the cliffs into the water. Happy little beach walk.

Very unique rock formations. Tons of tourists though. A very large rock fell from the cliff above and landed feet from me. Would have easily killed me. Be careful.

Great! Fun spot to explore the sand and rocks, climb on formations, and spot puffins. If you have active kids or teens they will love it.

Extremely windy, but relaxing black sand beach to chill on and star gaze a bit.

Great little walk. Black sand is amazing and waves crashing in relaxing. Lots of birds to see. Be prepared for wind.

This area is known as black beach. It is a very windy and dangerous area. There is a sign that talks about rouge waves taking victims out to sea for imminent death. The beach is composed of black pebbles and rocks. There are basalt column cliffs next to the beach. Only downfall is too many people.

Beautiful black sand. Picturesque church on a hill overlooking the beach. Waves were soothing. Rock piers get you out in the water a bit.
