Short hike along a beautiful creek to the base of a waterfall. Need to go through a horses field to get to the creek. Get to walk all the way around the waterfall which is amazing.

Nice little walk.
Like the waterfall at the end
Bring your cleats so you can go walk behind the fall during winter
We were able to pet the horses.

We had a little trouble finding the trail head, but just look for the little ladder over the fence and you’ll know you have the right spot.

Hidden gem. Still unkown and therefore no turist

Beautiful easy hike.

Get away from the chaos of Skogafoss and enjoy this waterfall all to yourself. The hike is short with a few small climbs and the waterfalls is a modest beauty. Ignore one of the reviews below: this trail is very much open. A really lovely short and rewarding hike

Short, pretty hike mostly along Kvernu river to reach a beautiful Icelandic waterfall that you can even walk behind. Kvernufoss is not as classically beautiful as nearby Skogafoss, and you can't make a full circle behind it as with Seljalandsfoss, but we loved that we had the entire hike and waterfall to ourselves (aside from a few grazing sheep that simply made the hike more picturesque).
