Gljúfrasteinn - Grímannsfell - Helgufoss is a 6 mile loop trail located near Mosfellsbær, Capital, Iceland that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, running, and nature trips.
The trail starts in Gljúfrasteinn, who was the home and workplace of Halldór Laxness. He was the winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1955. It's not a public as a museum, unchanged from when Laxness lived there. The trail then goes in direction of the summit Grímannsfell. The mountain has the shape of a horseshoe still open to the northwest. In the middle, the Katlagil cuts far into the mountain range. The way down you will join the waterfall of Helgufoss and follow to river to rejoin the starting point. Wonerful views of the Mosfellsdalur Valley.
Amazing mountain top yoga and meditation with an Airbnb experience. No trail, just walk up the mountain however you find it
