Don’t really recommend this trail for hiking. Very dirty and the homeless people have moved back in. Probably a lot better as a biking trail and probably not the best idea to go by yourself.

My husband and I bike down this paved trail almost every evening. This scenic route contains the most unique views. You will pass by a private taro garden. Right past the garden, you will experience the industrial side of Oahu. The East Loch Pearl Harbor along the trail provides the perfect sunset views and fishing spots. Neal S. Blaisdell Park has an outdoor gym, as well as 2 jungle gyms! You will also find the cheapest tires on the island run by a native family. Our favorite gem, the colony of cats across the bridge from the park! (Take a snack for them!) Keep in mind as you are enjoying your hike, you will be a visitor passing through others homes. Be courteous

In my opinion this "walk" is not worth doing, you would be better off walking Waikiki. The trail takes you beside the highway and several roads, along the trail there is garbage, contaminated water ways, several homeless people, a junkyard and the trail also has a pipeline the runs right along side of it. There are very few places to take a decent photo and the views are few and far between. I always try to find something good to say about all the trails I hike but in the end the only good thing I could say about this one is there is a nice park about 1 to 1.5 miles into the hike. One final note there is supposed to be no motorized vehicles on the path but wound up dodging a few and they have a tendency not to slow down as they know their not supposed to use the trail. Would not recommend this one!

This is our second time riding bikes on this path. The first time was 2 years ago. I can say, it was much nicer this time. They done an awesome job cleaning it up! The homeless are gone and more people are walking, jogging, riding bikes ect.

Definitely not a hiking trail, more of a biking trail or something for a momma who wants to push a stroller. Not much shade, so be aware of your dogs feet and if you are prone to sunburns wear sunscreen.

Not much of a historic site hike and views of Pearl Harbor along this trail are undesirable. Homeless camps and several areas with heavy tribe smell. May be better bike than hike trail. I would NOT recommend going alone

Nice constructed path, lots of litter though, takes away the beauty.

I run this path weekly and the path itself is in decent shape and relatively flat with a few brief inclines. There are some open views of the water. Unfortunately, there are a ton of homeless families for the stretch underneath the bridge on your way to Ford Island. The opposite direction on the trail towards Blaisdell Park has even more homeless and those homeless tend to have more illegal activity going on in and around their tents. However, I've never been approached by any of them and I run with both of my kids in a double stroller. Gorgeous views of the water if you can just overlook the two major homeless spots on the path.
