Beautiful nature hike. Multiple trails connect so you can technically pick your start either from the bottom or top of mountain. I wouldn’t advice going after or during a rain storm. May get very slippery

No big vistas or waterfalls but nice nature walk. Couldn’t find the real trailhead. Started on the Makiki trail and that led to this one.

4/19/2020-Got an early start around 0700 (easily found parking at the small lot near the trail head) and came across 20 people and a few dogs getting exercise. We opted to make our trek a little longer by doing part of the Makiki Valkey Trail which was nice. Trail was generally dry with the exception of a few muddy sections here and there. We also heard hunting dogs taking out a boar nearby but it was otherwise relatively quiet.

Same trailhead start as the upper Makiki Valley Trail. Easy fun hike through the woods. I went after a rain so it was extremely muddy and there are some rocks that are easy to slip on.

Beautiful trail full of lush foliage. Muddy but worth it. No waterfalls but definitely a nature junkies dream

Easy hike that leads to the Mānoa mess of hikes. Can pick your loop or just go out and back. Lots of roots. Little muddy patches but nothing to “wow” you. I mean for Hawaii’s standards of course.

we couldn't find a entrance so started from Making vally trail. it's just nice incline and down, forest view, easy hike. found out the entrance was just behind the guardrail with the sign lol. there is a small parking spot near by too.

Completed with a "newbie" so the trek was slow and with the recent rains some definite slick spots. Decided to take the road back since the trail was a little slick. Ended up being 2.5 miles.

Steady gain in elevation to an OK view at the top. good trail for running tho its a bit narrow and with other hikers / runners you end up stopping a lot. Some rocky parts tht are good foot placement practice, and a few muddy spots. Good trail for kids and dogs are welcome.
