Super fun chill hike, I did the extra off the paved path hike to the pillboxes and the somewhat illegal hike to the lighthouse at the top! Go in the morning to catch a great sunrise!

easy and paved to get to the look out. follow my recording to the left of the lookout point to get to the pillboxes. once you hit the dirt path, take the right fork up and you will hit the cliff-edge pill box for an even better view than the lookout point.

It was an easy trail, completely paved the whole way up... can’t actually get to the light house but can see it clearly. I loved the hike!!

Paved, so many strollers coming up. But, it’s steep, so not an easy walk. Great views of Koco and Diamondhead craters, as well as a lighthouse. About an hour round trip. More with kids.

Incredibly easy terrain with the slightest incline makes for an easy hike with views that are absolutely stunning.

An easy trail with beautiful views. It's paved most, if not all of the way. You can easily push a stroller. It gets hot though!

Parking lot was open on 5/31/20! But absolutely overcrowded. Fun, easy, little trail. Definitely an incline in the beginning but it’s all paved asphalt and flat so no worries about losing footing or anything. Tons of children, dogs, families, and elderly. Beautiful views the entire way. A few spots you can veer off the trail and get to rocky lookouts which just leads to more beautiful sites. The dog and I had a nice walk for ourselves!

Get there really early because the parking lot is still closed. When you get close to the lookout point, veer left instead of right and find the trail to go up higher where you can see remnants of possible bunkers. Really amazing views and great workout of you increase your pace. I would do this trail again.

the gate to the parking area is still locked so you need to park along the highway to do this trail, but it is of course worth it! the trail itself is only about a mile or so but I forgot to turn this app off

Paved all the way up. Moderate incline on way up. Kid friendly, moms pushing strollers and many expecting mommy’s tracking up to top! Awesome views!! 2.5 miles round trip out and back. Good parking but fills up fast

Definitely bring sunscreen. The trail opens at 7 and closes at 4 so no sunrise/sunset I guess?

Absolutely beautiful trail, especially close to sunset when the sun is moving behind the mountains. Be aware that the upper half of the trail is very exposed to the wind, so watch your hat.

Amazing views. Highly recommend. Paved walk, great ocean views of the east side, saw a whale. High amount of people on the trail, would recommend arriving early.
