I’m an experienced trail guy. This trail was so badly overgrown. I only got about 100 yards into it then it completely disappeared. I got bogged down up to my ankles and mud and the undergrowth was so thick if you dropped anything (phone/camera) you’d never find it again including yourself. I would avoid this until they can come in and clear it out. It looks fascinating but is extremely difficult to find. What is not noted is that you must take the Manoa Falls trail to start. Once you cross a small foot bridge you need to look to the right into the mangroves then you might make out the beginning of the trail head as it drops down into a small stream. Cross the stream and you’ll see the rest of the trail. But as I said it disappears. I had to turn back. I continued my day with the other Trail to Manoa Falls. It’s heavily trafficked with older folks in kids and is quite muddy. Several people fell and needed to be helped down the hill
