Great hike with stunning views of the Waianae mountains. Lots of rock scrambles on the way up. We didn’t make it to the segued peak as we weren’t ready for this type of rock scramble up the side of the ridges. It helps to be comfortable with some basic rock climbing. We did see some goats on the upper trail and look forward to coming back and starting before noon so we can finish the hike to the top of the second peak and get down with plenty of sunlight still. Bring lots of water. One of our favorite hikes!

Trail is not well marked, but we got there. Moderately difficult. High climbing/scrambling over precarious cliff edges. We took 2.5 hrs out and back. Very strenuous climb - hot and dry. No shade.

Technical trail. Climbing involved. More on the highly experienced moderate than just moderate. Very nice view of the Waianae side. Not ready to go to the second peak so turned around at the first peak which is .6 miles. Bring lots of water. Wear sunscreen. No shade. Wear sturdy shoes

This is in addition to my earlier review. We went too late in the day. Going to the top was not really an option for my 4 year old grandson. It’s climbing over lots of rocks and skirting the hillside with exposure. It’s a great workout for the surer of foot.

sweet trail can be done point to point by going up main way and coming down right ridge to watertanks at piliuka pl kawiwi way. I went to peak at 3200 ft, not recommended as its a hot trail and dehydration was a big problem. best on rainy day. dog friendly aside from 1 narrow canyon section.
