CLOSED / PRIVATE PROPERTY: Do not attempt. Enter at your own risks. This is one of my favorite waterfall hikes on Oahu. Unfortunately, it is ILLEGAL and is on PRIVATE PROPERTY. A police officer sits at the trail entrance most days. The past 4/5 times I attempted this trail there was a police officer in a Toyota 4-Runner guarding the entrance. The trail is also camera monitored. Residents are sick of hikers. Some of them sit in their houses watching outside. I never block driveways or mailboxes. As soon as I parked and got out of my car, some lady from inside her house yelled at me saying “you better move your car!” It sucks that loud groups and inconsiderate people ruin these hikes for those of us who have been coming our whole lives. Locals also hunt along this trail. Last time I was there we ran into some hunters with guns. They were cool braddahs. One of them gave the rest of the guys a heads up on the walker talkie to watch out because we were coming through. Also keep in mind that during weekdays, you may run into Board of Water Supply workers and that on weekends Ko’olau Mountains Watershed Partnership groups sometimes work here. If you are caught and cited, you will have to go to court. Even if you are from out of state, you will have to fly back for your court date. Hike at your own risk. Ask yourself if the social media picture is really worth it.

This trail is in awesome condition and it’s not to hard. There is another waterfall off of this trail we went to but I wouldnt recommend going to it as it’s pretty overgrown. My dogs did this just fine as well. Hike at your own risk as this is private property and a cop sits at the trail head sometimes.

Great short hike with an amazing waterfall at the end. We went mid week and only saw a few people on the trail and had the waterfall all to ourselves. Took us 2 hours to complete the hike there and back. Highly recommend!

Great hike and very popular. It’s gets busy around 10am do try to beat the rush or it won’t be as fun.
