Waypoints (0)

This lovely, partially paved coastal path climbs to Wailea Point, a great spot to watch for whales from November through May. There are five public beach access points along the way. All have parking areas and showers, and three of them have restrooms and picnic/barbecuing areas. Accessibility: The paved/boardwalk portion of the trail starts by the Renaissance Wailea Resort past the sand dunes. The typical width is four feet and it is mostly flat. Accessible parking can be found at the free beach lot south of the Grand Wailea Resort or at the county park lot at the southern end of the beachwalk.

Nice paved trail. No shade so wear sunblock. Great views all along. Not crowded during COVID.

Beachfront walkway that runs the length of all of the resorts. The walkway is tight in some areas but the ocean views are nice.

This is my favorite trail so far in Maui Wailea area. It’s very accessible from the hotel with lots of friendly people along the path, and beautiful views!

The most beautiful man made trail I’ve ever been on. Gorgeous vistas and beautiful landscaping along the Wailea coastline.

perfect early morning stroll to begin your day or great for a morning run. Encountered mostly locals at this hour. Even though the sun rise was on the opposite side of the island, it was still amazing.

Nice trail with pretty views all the way along it. We walked at sunset which was absolutely beautiful, just a bit busy for my taste but totally worth doing.

I walked along this on Memorial Day, and it was quiet on the path, but busy on the beaches. I found a beautiful spot fairly secluded underneath a giant tree on soft grass. It was so relaxing and lovely. I want to go back!

Beautiful views, crowded, but not horrible. Good if you are in area for sure. Great for my senior parents to get coastal views without a challenge.

You can walk either on beaches or in front of private property on the ocean (makai) side where signs are usually posted. Some areas have no signs, but you can walk through to the next beach regardless. Be responsible and respectful, people live here. I like to pick up trash both on the beach and along pathways to show my appreciation and share good vibes

Easy walk on a paved trail along the shore in between the resorts and the ocean. I definitely recommend going either early in the morning or late afternoon. We walked the trail at about 8:30am and it was already pretty busy!

Walking

It's a very easy walk along the shoreline with a few beaches to stop at for a swim along the way. The walk is mostly flat on a pathway so suitable for almost everyone. We had trouble finding parking on the north end so decided to start the round trip from the south end. I would highly recommend this as there was ample parking on the south side near Polo Beach Park.
