This is more of a walk along the beach than a trail. It is by far the largest sandy beach on Kauai, with a great ocean vibe.

This is a beach walk. The photos are from an entirely different location.

Followed the directions out to this hike and spoke to the life guard at Kekaha beach she said there is no trail out there but people have been showing up frequently this past year requesting it. Showed her the pictures and she said they are not of this beach. No trail head in site. Very disappointing but at least the drive was beautiful

I'm not sure what the other reviews are about, but this "hike" is really a walk on the beach. Admittedly, it is a beautiful, desolate beach, but there is no waterfall and no "elevation". Park at the MacArthur park, at the lifeguard station, and walk to the right, on the beach. The walk ends at Barking Sands military base, about 2 miles out. You pass by the raceway. You'll see very few, if any, people. Bring water and a bathing suit.

Lovely! Great place to see the sunrise. Passes thru the golf course. Do it! We did three days in a row. Discovered something new every time.

This is not a walk to the beach. I only did 2 miles in and 2 miles. At age 57 it was Enough for me. Don't miss it. If you can hike to the falls. I can't wait to do it again next year.
