Mount Lam Lam Trail is a 2.7 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near the city of Agat, Guam that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and nature trips and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
A group has been out there and trimmed back some swordgrass and the trail is A+. Markers are sparse but if you use the Alltrails map you'll stay on track! Sunset view is out of this world
The tail is much better now than it was a few months ago when we first tried it. The trail itself has been repaired from its previous overgrown state. Wear gloves so you can grab the sword grass in the muddy spots and you'll be fine. There is a relatively steep climb at the end to the top peak with the flag. Follow the trail markings and enjoy!
3 month ago trail was pretty clear . Today it is VERY overgrown to the point you wanna turn back! Not kid friendly unless on a back carrier. Views nice at the top. Not worth doing more then once.
This is a fun, not too long hike with beautiful views from just about any point on the trail. Once you reach the turn off for the crosses, the trail can be a little tricky to find for awhile- you’ll plow through a big stretch of sword grass, eventually coming to an open area. When you reach the big rusty corrugated pipes, beer left and slightly downhill into the jungle and look for the pink flagging that marks the trail.
DON'T DO MT. LAM LAM TRAIL IF YOU ARE JUST VISITING. I just recently did this hike a few days ago when I was visiting the island for the week. If you are looking for a view the beginning of this trail is great but instead of following the trail to the summit of Mt. Lam Lam take the more obvious path to the right towards the crosses. This has a beautiful view and has much more bang for your buck. This portion took me about 30 min to get to the top. As for hiking to the summit of Mt. Lam Lam. Only do this is you want to say you did it. There isn't much of a view, just a flag and some "jungle/rainforest" area that is neat to see. With that being said be ready for an overgrown path. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND pants and maybe long sleeves. I had shorts and a sports bra on and my legs got pretty scratched up and my stomach had a few scratches due to going through the overgrown vegetation. The vegetation can make it difficult to follow the trail sometimes (you get can get confused because it seems like it could be a possible pig trail) but just pay attention to the map. Honestly the way out was easier to follow (due to the markers) than the way in was. Long story short I felt like the summit was not worth anything more than just saying I did it. The cross summit was way more beautiful and you could see the whole island and is totally worth the hour hike.
