Hiked up to the plateau from Gortsia and stayed at “refuge B” aka Apostolidis. The views and landscape are stunning. We went in early October, and the weather was perfect. Hot at the bottom, but probably around 40F and windy at the plateau. Dress in layers. The hike itself was difficult but doable for anyone in decent physical shape. We went rather slow and took several breaks, including a coffee break at the first refuge, which is a great rest stop about halfway up. We didn’t go for Mytikas because my wife and I were with my sister who is a less experienced climber and didn’t feel comfortable taking her up, but I will be back for that and the other peaks nearby. Highly recommend.

a wonderful hike! my suggestion for hikers that do it for the first time is to use the zonaria - chondromesorachi - agapitos refuge path for the descent...
