This route is located in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, which is a region recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. This is a section of the thru hike, Rheinsteig, which runs along the Rhine River and connects the towns of Sankt Goashausen and Kaub. Along the way, you will pass by Katz Castle, Lorely Rock, and the town of Dörscheid before arriving at the end point of Kaub. This section of the Rheinsteig offers beautiful views of the river and surrounding countryside.

Excellent trail with a good mix of hills and fields. In late summer, one can even find grapes in the grape fields and it's a wonderful sight. the view from the heights is absolutely fantastic.
