Along this route, you will pass through the mixed deciduous, spruce, oak, and beech woods. During the second half of the hike, you will cross meadows that continue along the reservoir of Heimbach. Here you can make a detour to Hengebach castle, which towers high on a rock spur over Heimbach. At the end of the route you will follow an old "Stations of the Cross", which will lead you along the Ruppenbach up to the monastery in Mariawald. This tour can also be shortened by following the route marker T5 for a short time.
