It is a fascinating patch of earth - the Drover Heath. Here you have to discover the military restricted area of yesteryear with all its rare animal and plant species and its wild beauty. At about 13 km you can explore the nature and bird sanctuary. The mostly flat paths and boardwalks are also suitable for off-road prams in good weather. However, for your own safety and to protect nature, stay on the marked trails. Dogs must stay on a leash. The different routes are marked by color markings of wooden posts. This is the big heath round. Tip: The hike is most beautiful in the months of July / August because of the heather bloom. Start of the hike is in Kreuzau-Drove, parking Burg Drove. read more: http://der-eifelyeti.de/2017/02/23/durch-die-drover-heide-mit-wdr-lokalzeit/
