Immediately after the start of our tour begins the ascent to Alpe Hochried and on to the middle station of the midday chair lift. If you are not tired, you can let off steam in the playground at the middle station. Continue uphill to Mittaggipgel with fantastic views over the Illertal and Kempten. If you want to save yourself the tiring climb, you can take the chairlift and save enough energy for the rest of the hike. Now we walk past the Bärenkopf to the Steineberg rock face. Here we can choose. For Schwindefreie there is the Steinebergleiter to climb or you go on a narrow path over lush meadows to the summit. Here is a hearty rest from the backpack duty to once again enjoy the panorama. It goes to the front Krumbachalpe and down to Gunzesried. On the other side of the Ach begins the path through the Haldertobel. Up to the reservoir we will cross 3 bridges and it can be splashed again and again in the water. The reservoir serves to generate energy for the Bosch company and you can not bathe in it. At the dam we go to the lane and across the meadows we reach old mummies. The great and exciting hike we can end at Eiscafe Venezia. From there it is not far to our starting point. Tip: From the summit cross of noon, the trail first leads 100m towards Bärenkopf and then sharp left down to Alpe Oberberg. There you have the opportunity to witness the Bergkäse production in the centuries-old Kupferkessel itself with the Beck family. Cheese sandwiches, fresh milk and buttermilk invite you to have a snack.
