Starting from the well-known winter sports resort Garmisch-Patenkirchen, this circular walk leads along the Kochelberg, past the Rießersee, over the Katzenberg to the Aule-Alm and back to Garmisch. The vegetation changes between forest sections and meadows, which offer magnificent views of the Loisach valleyl. This route also leads past the former Olympic bobsleigh track, which is located near the Rießersee.
