The starting point is the Fischhausen-Neuhaus train station, which can be easily reached from Munich via the BOB (Bayerische Oberland Bahn) every hour. The climb goes over the Ankelalm up to the summit of Brecherspitze. The part up to the Ankelalm consists of forest roads. From then on take hiking trails. The last section is more demanding and definitely requires sure-footedness. From Gipfle the descent begins over the west. Again, be careful with footing. The degree itself is easy to handle. Two short passages require use of a steel rope. Buses to the Fischhausen-Neuhaus station run from the bottom.
