A classic loop along the ridge of the Blauberg on the German-Austrian border south of Tegernsee. The loop here starts at Schwaigeralm guest house and runs clockwise, but it could also be started at Wildbad Kreuth and hiked in either direction. The views toward Tegernsee as well as to the higher Alps in Austria are stunning, and the loop allows views for much of the trip, since it runs along the sharp ridge. A short side trip to Halserspitze is included here.
