This route is a certified premium hiking trail that leads to one of the largest fortresses in Germany. The fortress ruin Hohentwiel. Former residence of Swabian dukes and Württemberg state leadership, it still offers a magnificent view over Lake Constance to the Alps. Moreover, it is surrounded by idyllic nature reserve.
